About the John Mayer thing, on her interview about this album on ellen, she sent HUGE signals about how this was about him! ellen teased her about it and she was all "i guess this is about john mayer?" and taylor just sort of looked surprised and didn't say anything, like she was thinking "oh crap i just put too much information into a song again" |

wow! no comments? i'm surprised! this was such a great album by archuleta, such an improvement! This song and "Parachutes and Airplanes" are my favorites on the album. this song is basically just talking about the sort of anxiety of finding "the one." you want to find her/him fast, but you don't really want to let the thrill go by, and you want to make sure that they are the real deal before you fall too fast. you just want them to be your kind of perfect, and it's kind of overwhelming to think that they're just swimming in a whole crowd of people.
"It's gonna be worth it
'Cause that's what love is
I'll keep searching for my kind of perfect"
That's my fave line!

ohmygosh im a mormon too! i thought that maybe this song was about an investigator maybe realizing he needs the church. because through the song it says "you want somebody, just anybody, to lay their hands on your soul tonight" and then he talks about knowing things have gotta change, and finally "you want somebody, just anybody, to bring some peace to your soul tonight" |
