I have read a lot of comments about this song saying the song is about a prostitute named Rosie, i don't doubt it, maybe the person who wrote it had the intention to have that meaning but for me it's different. For me, this song is about a guy who really wants to be with this girl but she doesn't care about him, she gives him mixed signals, she sometimes says "yes" to him and later she says "no" Like when you like someone and she's giving you all the signals that she wants to be with you but in reality she does not wants to be with you. A girl who likes to have people dying to be with her and that's why she gives those mixed signals "Rosie, Well I feel your love and I want you to agree To be, Still take your time but get to me Rosie" Here, we can see that she does care about him, but she's not ready and he is willing to wait for her. "She looked away as I mentioned my name The street lights light up my shame The world can take you and swallow you whole But you're a big girl and I think you already know You've been bought and sold" For me, this part is about the guy wanting her to show her friends that he actually is going out with her, but she ignores him, she doesn't want her friends to know about them (because, as i said before, she wants everyone to die for her and if she says something about this guy this may scare the other guys away) And as we can see, the guys knows it, and feels ashamed that he's there even though she's playing with him. And, well, that's my interpretation :) |

This is such a strong song, anyone who can relate to this song must have been through a lot. For anyone who speaks french, the meaning of this song is obvious, but for those who doesn't let me tell you, this song is about a rape. "et me revois là enfant, recevant en silence les caresses d'un grand, les caresses d'un grand..." (and i see myself as a child, receiving in silence the caress of a grown man) The chorus says: "Mais Docteur Gel, mes deux seins, c'est à moi non il ne t'appartient pas, d'y toucher comme ca... Docteur Gel, plus malade que moi Il fait si froid sous tes doigts pourquoi ça? dis moi, dis moi, dis moi... " (but Dr. Gel, my two breasts are mine, no, it's not up to you to touch them like that, Dr. Gel you are more sick than i am, your fingers are very cold, why? tell me, tell me) And the song goes on talking about that. It really is a good song, I like the fact that Najoua's songs are about things that happen, good or bad, not just the average "i'm in love with you" songs |

Well, i really think this song is about a guy who wants to be with this girl but she doesn't care about him and even though she does not show any love he thinks he will end up with her! Later she is into this boy but he isn't that much into her anymore, but at the end he knows that he will be with her but right now is not the right moment. It's the lifetime story about someone who KNOWS she is the girl he's gonna marry but the time just isn't right ever! He wants, she doesn't, she wants, he doesn't, but they're meant to each other! :) With the part of "i'm a man and i can be so obscene i just don't undertand, maybe at the end he only wants to have "fun" with her I don't know jaja the lyrics are very subjective :) |

This song is about a blind guy, who always waits for her friend to tell him how is the sunset, how's life and he obviously is in love with her. Then he ask her "volverás? Dime si mañana volverás como lo has hecho cada tarde para contarme cómo muere el dÃa" (will you come back? Tell me if you'll come back as you have done it every day to tell me how the day dies) And then she leaves, but she never comes back.... "sólo fui testigo por casualidad, hasta que de pronto él me preguntó: era bella no es verdad? Más que la luna, dije yo, y el sonrió (by chance i was a witness, suddenly he asked me: she was beautiful, wasn't she? More than the moon, i said, and he smiled) So, the girl died and this is why she never returned to see him. This song is beautiful!!!! :) |

Well, i love this song too, it's beautiful and i really think the song is about a guy who was in a relationship but they broke up (she broke up with him) and he had the worst time forgetting her, letting her go, and then after months or maybe years she's back and she tells him that she loves him but he remembers how hard was it to forget her and he thinks "i won't let her hurt me again like the last time" so he's telling her "so if you love me let me go, or run away before i know" because he knows he will fall for her again but he does not want that, he's suffered enough That's what i think! I may be wrong but the beautiful thing about songs is that we can make our own interpretation :) |
