They Might Be Giants – You'll Miss Me Lyrics 13 years ago
I think it's a song about a woman killing her husband for financial gain. The song is sang by the husband (from beyond the grave). If you assume the husband was somebody famous and well received by the community, it supports this theory even more.

The line about effigies could refer to protesters outside the woman's house because they believe she killed him. The first verse refers to a police investigation while she pretends to mourn her husband by writing his eulogy.

There's also stuff about a Mortician and how she has money. Perhaps the fact that the money talks could be referencing her trying to cover up the murder by bribing people, or something of the like. But most of the other lines hint towards the fact that she will regret murdering the guy, and she'll begin to miss him.

A fantastic song.

They Might Be Giants – Let Your Hair Hang Down Lyrics 14 years ago
Let your hair hang down
It is now the time
To untie your hair
Let your hair hang down

Why do we resemble concrete
Did we order all these rain clouds
Who overturned the party cart
Who said to stomp the fire out

Let the wrong be wrong
Would it be so bad
When your hair's so long
Let your hair hang down

Do we have to drag the drag around is that the plan
Can we leave the barking dogs and join the caravan

Let your hair hang down
It is now the time
To untie your hair
Let your hair hang down

Without a written guarantee of perfect sailing
Can you crawl from under the porch without a helmet
Before we can get all the facts
We may be going to have to act

Let the wrong be wrong
Would it be so bad
When your hair's so long
When you look so sad
Let your hair hang down
It is now the time
To untie your hair
Let your hair hang down

They Might Be Giants – Feign Amnesia Lyrics 14 years ago
I think this song is about forgiveness. In my mind it's about a guy who's girlfriend or whatever cheated on him or betrayed him in some way. Instead of getting angry or breaking up with her, he feigns amnesia, or pretends he doesn't know what she did. It tears him up inside, and he wishes it didn't happen, but he pretends it actually didn't happen for the sake of the relationship.

They Might Be Giants – Dinner Bell Lyrics 15 years ago
I think the whole song is from the dog's point of view. The dinner bell is the bell the dog's owner rings when it's time to eat. While he's waiting for the ring, the dog is seeing all this food on the table, but he knows it's not for him so he doesn't want it.

In the next verse, he's not sure if he'd rather eat the food or wait, because he's getting hungrier, however, due to his obedience he continues to wait.

I got the same impression as kickstart71, the "Shoulder, bicep, elbow, arm" part could represent the owner finally ringing the bell and giving the dog some food.
