Meanwhile he knows were in a heap of trouble and begging for a mercy and a Saviour. the end of the song. very good "what will you do, what will you do" seriously what will you do when God comes back and destroys the earth. According to the Bible, the rainbow signifies He wont destroy the earth with water. and Revelations predicts it will be fire to destroy human life. SO WHAT WILL YOU DO.... WHAT WILL YOU DO???? |

I am a rare DevilDriver fan. I am a Reformed Christian. But I love devildriver. this song is deep and agree with lots of you on the meaning. Well he's losing sleep or his guilt. I obviously know Dez isn't a Christain but being a "true" Christian you have deep guilt that follows you until you come with it to God. honestly, thats why i LOVE this song. I can relate with it whether it means that to him or not. But thats what the song means to me. "Im burning internally" well he feels the guilt eating him from with in and could be referencing his soul going to hell. Best part for me is when he says "show me a sign, what is your will?" Asking for Help. Asking God for direction. In my opinion it just seems like a cry from a atheist who knows there is help and just wanting help. Dez feels there is really no hope for him. Saying there is a long long way between sin and sacrifice. or im thinking sin and redemption. He's thinking the choices he's made he's condemned and there is such a long long way to the road of salvation. Thats just my thoughts as a Christian. I know most of you hate me but there are a lot of Christian metal heads out there. I dont go to preach to you I go to have a great time, and DD is my favorite band. hope to see you all in the pit.
