I really liked your interpretation of this. Taking Back Sunday is my favorite band so I was about to say that I love how they leave lyrics open for each person to interpret them different. I look at the song the same way as you do in most ways, excpet I think that maybe he dated a girl or loves this girl and she's with someone else who he knows is a better person than him, but he knows that if it were him with the girl that they would've "stolen life" I liked your view on the "misuses practiced, perfect and played in time I'm gonna get what's mine" but I see that line as him saying that girls in the past have misused him, and in time he'll get someone great to him and great for him. But ya. I really liked your thoughts on this song. |
