I believe that this song is supposed to show a relationship from the start when things are good(daytime), as things start to fall apart and the two people slowly realize that it is going to end(twilight), then the relationship ends and everything goes from bad to worse for one of the people(pitch black), to the point where you realize that things will get better(night light). "Sorry I didn't hear you I was busy dying in the corner Those three words Destroyed every inch of me yet you keep......Speaking" I think that is the reaction one of the people has when the break-up happens. The three words could be something along the lines of "lets be friends", "Let's break up" or something like that. "Fuck with these buttons and knobs long enough And maybe things will... turn out fine." That show that one of the people is trying to save the relationship by saying "I will be what ever you want me to be" That is just my opinion on what the song means. |
