First of all this song it is so god damn dope i can't even explain how much i love it. Okay I'll try to unfold it. I believe that Slug, in his own way, is stereotyping people among us, not by race, but by status upon their peers. The chorus is stereotyping Santa Claus saying that he fights for the cause expecting nothing in return meaning that he lives to help others and it defines his existence, all the other "And if i was..." parts in this song have the same idea. "And if I was an honest man I would stop writing songs I'd break for a nervous breakdown for breakfast" This is my favorite piece of the song, slug is saying if he was truly himself, (which society never taught him to be because of all the manipulation and lies in the world that are not visible to the human eye), he wouldn't push his ideas on people and reveal or even lie about his feelings. He would break for a nervous breakdown for breakfast meaning that every day he would have a nervous breakdown because of all the problems in the world and personal issues he suffers. |

| Well, I see this song as a deep description of the inner thoughts of a sociopath or psychopath. As he drives past your everyday objects and people he describes every inch from head to toe and how that makes him feel about life which sounds very similar to an anxious sociopath to me, also he obviously wants to escape society because he realizes it doesn't suit him well. | |
