| Nirvana – In Bloom Lyrics | 12 years ago |

This song, in my opinion, is about one of Kurt's gal friends. A boy she liked took advantage of her. Sell the kids for food (the boy didn't care for having a family) Weather changes moods Spring is here again (he gets spring fever) Reproductive glands (guess...) He's the one Who likes all the pretty songs (he likes to just hang out) And he likes to sing along And he likes to shoot his gun (he likes girls a lot) But he knows not what it mean (but he just has fun, he doesn't care that it should mean something between him and the girl) Knows not what it mean We can have some more (the boy just wants more) Nature is a whore Bruises on the fruit (the boy hurting Kurt's friend) Tender age in bloom (the boy taking advantage of her) A lot of songs are born from intense emotion and personal experiences. This one seems to me like Kurt felt helpless when his friend was hurt, and since he knew no other way to handle it, he wrote a song. He did say it was about the media misinterpreting the band's message, but we all know it's just like Kurt to point people in the wrong direction. |

Yeah I heard that bit about DM too. Love what Michaelwesly said though... It sounds like a guy left her, and she wants him to know what he meant to her. More personally, it reminds me of a girl who's had a crush on me for a while. I don't know why, we have a friend and political views in common and nothing else.... anyways, she's referenced suicide when I told her we would never work so there's no point in trying... |

Last song on their last album....what a way to go.... Obviously about suicide. |

| The Fixx – Opinions Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Okay... I always thought it was 'good intentions nipped in the butt' and 'blew away with homicide'. Because of the second bit, I view this song as one about corrupt lawyers or twisted relationships of any kind. | |

| Haha very interesting opinions up there. I can definitely see the relationships and (corrupt) religion angle to this song. However, I always thought it was political. I apply to either Obama or Hitler. (those guys could have been good friends without the borders of time to separate them) | |
| The Fixx – Are We Ourselves Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This kinda reminds me of religion. Are we really here by ourselves? are we playtoys of a greater being? are we children of God? or are we some animal further progressed than his peers? | |

First of all, the single/album version is boring. The remix/rerecording on 1011 Woodland is far better. Anyways, this song always makes me feel disconnected. It gives me a sense of apathy, almost. So to me, the song is about stepping back and letting the world pass by, without getting too involved. It kinda reminds me of something a character in the M*A*S*H tv show said: 'you can't bleed for anyone, cuz if you bleed for one person, you bleed for everyone.' This song is about not 'bleeding' to death. |
