I think she knows she is in a bad relationships, it's past the point of excuses and all of that. She's staying because she doesn't have enough strength yet to go. She's numb because it's a vicious cycle that continues to happen, after being subjected to it over and over, she has shut off that part of her that reacts to the things that are happening. I don't think it's matter of something he said even to make her stay, or even something she feels for him, it's just one of those things like, 'I'll just do it, it's easier...I don't want to fight or argue or here what you have to say'....'Just tonight, I won't leave, I'll lie and you'll believe'. She knows shes wasting her time, 'And here I am watching the clock thats ticking away my time'. She knows its over and that there isn't any chance of redemption for him,'When the light hits your eyes, it's telling me I'm right'.
