| Phoenix right now is my top favorite band of all time. I LOVE their music. But man, their lyrics are SUCH a mystery...really tough to interpret! But about what endless_drifter said, there's even a mixture of emotion in "I tied up your letters / Buried them all with delectation"--as Thomas Mars is singing that first part you can hear the emotion in his voice, like he tied them up with total depression. So there is a lot of conflicting emotions and intention in this song.. | |
