| Dishwalla – Charlie Brown's Parents Lyrics | 15 years ago |

He clearly states that Jesus and Elvis (who sang gospel music then ODd on drugs) are both lonely, visionless men and that he doesn't want to hear about them anymore. Whether you take that statement as "Anti-Christian" or not is up to you. The first verse is about Elvis. He goes on "Pretending." Pretending to what? Considering his life I would think that Dishwalla assumes he was faking his Christianity to sell gospel records or something. Then Jesus. He says that he doesn't want to go on converting because apparently thats part of the Christian faith and he doesn't feel like he's accomplishing anything, doesn't understand what he's doing. He hears the words, they're just useless to him. P.S. Charlie Brown's parents appear to make a "gwah" sound. This makes me lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omne1uHAOnU |
