I just think this is about a guy who realizes that his relationship isn't working. He wants to say it as easy as possible but he just keeps putting it off because he doesn't want to hurt her but in doing so he's just making the situation worse for them. All he sees in their relationship are the bad things and she's trying to make it work. "And I'm sorry that this wasn't easy When I asked you Believe me You never let go But I let go" I think this is pretty much an excuse like 'it's not you it's me'.. and the title 'I'd Hate To Be You When People Find Out What This Song Is About': Probably because the song makes her look pathetic. |
