Um, dunno about the other two but Morrissey being gay yes, Johnny Marr, absolutely no. He's been married to the same woman for many years, since the Smiths were still together I think, so your argument doesn't hold up. Having said that, Morrissey wrote the lyrics so it's 'his' meaning. So... it could be about being gay admittedly. Though he is often ambiguous about whether he is talking about heterosexual or homosexual relationships in his songs, it's difficult to say. The song may not be a reference to anyone in the band but rather an invented character! The thing is, as in most art, people take different meanings from songwriting and can read into them what they will. You cannot say 'this is the definitive meaning! Only Morrissey can tell anyone that. He wrote it! Not trying to be aggressive or demeaning to you. Just sayin'. |

Ummm... know it's been a long time since you've wrote this, but there's no need to be so f**kin' rude... you know? Actually, it's Very difficult to work out what Isaac's singing in the lines you've picked out And I think you're wrong, so maybe you should do the same, uh? The girl actually says she can't work all the lyrics out. Ignorant bastard. Great song though!! |
