IN the fields, you don't know if what you swore to do is worth it as you see the destruction, but you keep fighting now; not for your cause, but just to live. "Cut me free, Bleed with me, Oh no One by one, We will fall, down down Pull the plug, End the pain, Run�n fight for life Hold on tight, this ain�t my fight" Just let me die as they all bleed along with me; we are all hurt. Fighting and running for our lives, why am I fighting someone else's (the government's, perhaps?) battle? "Deliver me from this war It�s not for me it�s because of you Devil�s instant my eternity Obey to kill to save yourself" Get me out of the war, it wasn't created for me you did this to me and yourself! This is a momemnt the devil created taht will affect me forever, you have to kill just to live yourself. "I envy the 9 lives that gave me hell My path made up by their torn bodies Man to man, soldier to soldier, dust to dust Call me a coward but I can�t take it anymore" There were nine people dead now, I envy them they don't have to fight or kill anymore. We were just humans, then soldiers, now they all are dead (dust) call me fearful but I don't want to do this! "They wait for me back home The live with eyes turned away They were the first ones to see They are the last ones to bleed" My loved ones don't want to see what happened, they won't be hurt physically but in soul. "The ultimate high as all beautiful dies A ruler�s tool, priest�s excuse, tyrant�s delight... I alone, the great white hunter I�ll march till the dawn brings me rest 10th patriot at the gallow�s pole!" Only ugliness can be sustained here, This is how to maintain power, there's an excuse for the righteousness of war, this is what a tyrant enjoys. I am now alone as a hunter, I can only hunt until the dawn of peace or death brings me rest, the nine I killed died for their countries and I will be the tenth to pass a patriot.. |

I have been wanting to dissect this song for quite some time! "Denying the lying A million children fighting For lives in strife For hope beyond the horizon" This shows how this world has gone to hell, as the title states. It starts to explain how we fight for the hope that could be looming, while destroying ourselves. We are but children to this planet that has seen much, that our immaturity and foolishness has lead to strife. "A dead world A dark path Not even crossroads to choose from All the bloodred Carpets before me Behold this fair creation of God!" There is only one path; the blood-red carpets, can specify what has turned into the once-good God and how we worship celebrities who walk the red carpet of blood (very outside-the-box, but worth a shot...) and this one path leads to the bad. "My only wish to leave behind All the days of the Earth This everyday hell of my kingdom come" We want this strife to end, the only wish is to leave behind the bad days the Christian Hell hath wrought onto the Earth. "The 1st rock thrown again Welcome to hell, little Saint Mother Gaia in slaughter Welcome to paradise, Soldier" A religious reference, saying how you thought you were a saint by fighting but you brought hell upon yourself, the one(s) considering themself/selves saint(s). Mother Gaia, the old representation of the Earth, is blood-covered as Gaia is a Greek personification of the Earth. Welcome to paradise; welcome to the paradise you tried to create while fighting. "My 1st cry neverending All life is to fear for life You fool, you wanderer You challenged the gods and lost" We spend all out life fearing for death, though our pain starting at the very beginning doesn't end. You fools who challenged what are laws and cycles in this world have lost your own duels "Save yourself a penny for the ferryman Save yourself and let them suffer In hope In love This world ain't ready for The Ark Mankind works in mysterious ways " You claim to live in love and for hope, but you will send others off the the ferryman, Charion, the one who led people to their deaths. It costs a penny to get into the underworld, so save a penny for yourself to ensure your own salvation eveen though you claim to love others. This world ain't ready for the salvation the god(s) offer, we are a confusing species... |
