| Miranda Lambert – Time To Get A Gun Lyrics

I love this song and can't believe that no one has commented on it yet! Well, in my opinion this song is about how times have changed, and we find ourselves being forced to take often drastic actions to protect ourselves. Gone are the days when you didn't have to lock your doors, gone are the days when you were actually safe. The world has changed, and as humans we must change with it to in order to survive. We must adapt. I also like the reference to the farm being taken over by a big highway. It plays a part in the way our world is changing. Now instead of immense farmland, we have big city blocks with plenty of highways and other urban areas. The farmland is being driven further and further away, and is quickly being taken over by this new world. |

| Brandon Rhyder – A Storm Blew In Lyrics

I personally really like this song, Brandon Rhyder is a very talented man and I think that people would really enjoy his music. In my opinion this song is about a marriage where the woman is feeling neglected and that she doesn't mean anything to her husband anymore. She has been feeling like this for many years, but has finally found the courage to leave the relationship, and it isn't until she leaves that the husband realizes how much he has neglected her. The storm is a metaphor for her leaving and the turmoil that it brings to her husband. After the loss of his wife, the husband feels that life isn't worth living without her and just wants her back in his life. |

| Eddi Reader – Bell, Book and Candle Lyrics

I absolutely LOVE this song! In my opinion it's about the death of a loved one. Someone close to her has passed away and every aspect of daily life reminds her of them, as the moon reminds her of the deceased's eyes, the blackbird reminds her of their hair etc. She was so close to that person and now feels like she is becoming them, as she is so consumed by their death. She can't move on and feels their presence around her, needing a bell, book and candle (maybe some form of prayer or ritual?) to forget about them. |

Great song. In my opinion, the song is referring to a relationship that is wrong for the singer, possibly with abusive tones. |

| Alter Bridge – In Loving Memory Lyrics

This song was written about one of the band member's mother who passed away, but could definitely relate to the death of a loved one for anyone. The singer talks about how much he misses her, yet is thankful for the love she gave him throughout his life. He is struggling to cope without her presence but takes comfort that her presence will always remain within himself. |

I adore this little piece of wonder. My favorite line is "The sun is settin' like molasses in the sky". The lyrics are great and Alannah's voice is even better. Sultry. |

I personally LOVE this song. It is so haunting yet beautiful at the same time. As a fan of country music, the reference to Hank Williams Sr is done in a way which really makes you think, and adds to the mystery of the song. Whoever posted the lyrics, however needs to make some changes as there are multiple spelling errors as well as errors within the lyrics as posted by someone else. |

| 3 Doors Down – Here Without You Lyrics

My interpretation of this song is that the singer was in a really great relationship with a girl but it didn't go so well. She broke up with him, but he's still in love with her despite all that. So he tries to carry on despite missing her badly. Instead he's left with memories and daydreams of the girl, who he seems to have become obsessed with. |

| 3 Doors Down – Father's Son Lyrics

My interpretation of this song is that this man's father was an alcoholic who used to sleep around with prostitutes a lot. Now, the narrator (his son) has fallen into the same bandwagon. When he's drunk he goes out and has sex with a prostitute, but when he's sober he realizes all that he's done and feels shame for his actions as well as fear that he is turning into the man his father was. However, as time goes by, the pain he feels for the man he is becoming (due to his actions) gets worse and worse. He has a daughter and can't stop thinking about if it was her in the prostitute's position which makes the pain he feels worse. Possibly he feels like he forced the sex on her as she was only seventeen. The pain he feels leads to him feeling like he has no soul, he is evil. Finally he has had enough of his drinking to try and escape the pain he feels, so he stops drinking and kills himself because he refuses to turn into his father. |

My interpretation of this song is that it is about a woman in a relationship gone sour. Something happened in a past relationship which she is not proud of. By starting a new, innocent relationship she thought that it was all behind her and she could start anew, but her past came flying back (maybe she had an affair) leading to the destruction of her new relationship, leading to her hitting rock bottom. She's lost all of her friends, her relationship and she feels like it is all her fault and she has lost everything that mattered in her life. |
