This song is about that guy that played guitar for Hole and he was kind of a redneckish kind of guy and he thought that guns were cool and would shoot stuff around Kurt and like this guy just didn't get any of Kurts liberal views and stuff and then Kurt bought a gun from him and shot himself. P.S. I saw Nirvana live Dec. 14th 1993!!! |

| Not sure what this song is about but for a long time DJ would not play this song live. I think it was because it was a single and lots of Alt-rock bands do not want to play their singles so they do not appear to be sell outs and other such artistical-minded non-sense. | |

Have heard that this song is about J Mascis father, like he died or something. A good song on my favorite DJ album (it was the first one I ever heard 1993 when I 16 just getting into Alternative Rocks and music and stuff and just made a massive impression.) |

The name of the song is Freak Scene for crying out loud so I have always figured it was just about weirdos who are into Alternative Rock. It is just about the scene in general, dude. And this song is from like 1989 way before Nirvana broke in 1991 and Alt-rock went mainstream for awhile so this was written at a time when it was still a weird subculture. |
