I always thought this song Was about Satan. There's a theological argument about the devil and evil, if the devil is the opposite of god of just the lack of god. Some say evil is just the absence of good. But if god created all and all things have their being in him then how can Satan exist with total lack of god? So is he a wolf ( a being) or a shadow (merely the lack of light) ? |

I think the whole dog being aroused while hugging the guys is about sin. After giving into lust and idolatry man was given over to futility and soon burned after other men Romans 1. The waves talking about separation seems to be talking about monism. |

I think he's talking about monism with the spider songs. Imagine you see a brown spider on a brown leaf, you consider them separate beings but they're the same color and they just blend in, I think Aaron is talking about how we are all one and that is his deepest belief. "I do not exist..." and the more he gets lost in how god is everywhere and in everything he just loses his identity in god "no more me no more belief" to the point where even his beliefs are overshadowed by god in all. |

I've thought a lot about this album. I'm pretty sure bullet to binary is taking about what I guess I'd call monism. Being one. A binary is like some having two's (I think) or multiple (I.e bi-). So bullet to binary is like putting an end to the separation; the illusion that we are sailing separate ships so distant from our friends. I think Aaron is realizing the connectedness or oneness of everything. This is a big theme for him. A Muslim and a Jew get married and have a Christian, how could help but try to reconcile reconcile reconcile. |
