This makes SO much sense. "with someone new I couldn't start it" the bit about the therapist being "smaller than my wife imagined, surprised you were human" "There's all the work that needs to be done, It's late, for revision. There's all the time and all the planning, And songs, to be finished." the ONE line I couldn't fit at first is "to tell the truth I saw it coming, the way, you were breathing" until I thought that his his therapist was getting too old. It's clearly that his therapist was getting old and he knew that death was coming. Yes, that's it. This explanation ties the whole song together, Thanks Thatkidoptimus! |

i think this song's about coming to the realization that home is not what you think it was. Home being you, what you're comfortable with, what you want to do. I think the entire album is about growing older, transitioning from the never-ending party of your 20s to your 30s, where partying every night may not really be what you want to do. so the whole album's about trying to find your place again. cool stuff, awesome song. it's a toss up between this one and dance yrself clean for best song on the album |
