Interpol – Obstacle 1 Lyrics 11 years ago
There was a model in New York City named Natasha Duncan who committed suicide in 2001 by stabbing herself in the neck. Surely that's what the line "You go stabbing yourself in the neck" refers to.

Kate Nash – Later On Lyrics 14 years ago
I can relate to this intense, poignant song. My interpretation: The speaker meets a male who suspiciously approaches her out of the blue and immediately shows a strong interest in her. He emits a seedy vibe and isn't attractive at all but she disregards her uneasy feelings and impulsively demonstrates physical affection for him anyway, seeking a thrill. Other people find out about the incident and spread rumours. The girl and boy react by fleeing, leading to a sense of false relief. Her initial belief is that she's done nothing wrong and she even wouldn't mind repeating the experience. However, the aftereffects do in fact bother her and she's crying about it like there's no tomorrow. She didn't expect she would be so upset. The boy pressures her into going farther with him but she simply isn't willing. She feels guilty for being unchaste, deceptive and unable to predict consequences, experiencing a whole range of uneasy emotions including depression, anger and anxiety.
