The Smashing Pumpkins – Muzzle Lyrics 12 years ago
And the world is drawn into your hands
And the world is etched upon your heart
And the world so hard to understand
Is the world your can't live without

The peak of one's youthful spirit ties into the false belief that one will live forever, and everything will stay the same.

The world is presented to us day by day, the love of the universe sown into our heart and spirit, yet we often find ourselves second-guessing actions and halting to sensations of regret and negativity.

That being said, you can't be alive without being present in this world (to our knowledge.) No matter how deep the regrets of your past go and how broken your ego and/or heart becomes, the only way forward is to simply stay alive and stay true to your destiny, whether you have one or not.

Lost and forgotten love is the worst pain one can feel, and this song seems like a brutally honest take on a common scenario when one decides whether or not it's all worth living for. Although harsh, the inevitable is accepted and the lyricist chose to press forward, and share his epiphany through a brilliant song. This alongside Porcelina of the Vast Oceans are 90's gold in my opinion.

Tobacco – Hairy Candy Lyrics 14 years ago
Eat the sun? That moment when you realize that everything in life is connected, due to life being focused around being the life. Nothing matters, it's up to you with what you want to do with your temporary "alive" existence on Earth.

Chew the gum? Another play on words, gum lasts forever, you can chew on the same piece until the day you died if you wanted. I think Tobacco's just comparing gum to EVERYTHING in life, and plays along with the "Forever Heavy" theme of Dandelion Gum by Black Moth Super Rainbow... everything in life is made of atoms, therefore we're all the same. Just a matter of time before people can make the distinction between chewing gum and living life me thinks.

Black Moth Super Rainbow – Lost, Picking Flowers in the Woods Lyrics 15 years ago
I try to listen to this song daily whenever I can. Just another piece of art dished out by Black Moth Super Rainbow.

Is it weird that a song with only two lines of lyrics can be this powerful? Not at all, that's the Tobacco-effect. BMSR knows who they're communicating to when they make music. If your mind is free, you're going to enjoy this band. I associate this song with death only because of the wicked buildup and the 40 seconds of "freedom" at the end. I picture a human, or just simply a human's mind, realizing that a dire situation is imminent, hence death. The gongs that capitalize right before the peaceful ambiance symbolize the mental breakdown one has when they're in a scenario where they have to address everything in their lives (ego death, if you'd like to read up more about it.) The 40 seconds of "freedom" is just the mind and human realizing it's place in time; seeing clear for the first time in their life.

What an odd interpretation, but that's all I've got judging by the colors that come to mind from this song.

Harvey Danger – Little Round Mirrors Lyrics 15 years ago
Lol so many failed attempts, I was about to lose hope but foxing nailed it!

Loving yourself is easily done, it's just a matter of time before you can truly become comfortable and accept yourself for who you are no matter what. Hence all the little round mirror references, he's clearly singing about the (imo blind) hope that there's somebody out there that will make you feel as good as you do by yourself... which is a near-impossible feat - but alas, there's always hope to fall on. The holes referring to the generic love depletion most obtain after a failed/broken relationship. Not CDs, lmfao.
