When you see a homles person you dont ask them what their story is; people would rather run away than be asked for 35 cents for a beer. I feel that this song represents someone that feels they had done something so terrible that the person feels they are no longer worthy of god's love. And in this the author says im such a terrible person Im not gonna ask for forgivness. The author feels damned on earth already and thus decides the only thing he can do is exist and stay out of religion. excommunication of self in fact could be the appology to god by saying im willing to take the reprocussions of denying you and being damned as a self punishment for his wrong doing and hoping that being humble is what may make him worthy in the end |

This song is not about a girl at all its about receiving psycological help hence all the repitition and coming back for more. Even though the psycologist is there every day or night, he cant see him every night when he needs help. Finaly when he does get to see the pscologist no final help is received. Also you have a clue reffers to the training the psycologist has received and the plaque that says he is qualified to help and treat mental ailments. As a depressed person im sure its easier to sing a sad song and say its about a girl rather than your therapist. |
