She calls her best friend with the news at 2AM, and is begging for help because she made a mistake. She doesn't love the man, and has had a bad winter. She needs support, and the friend takes her to the abortion clinic where everyone seems to be judging her friend, but they are all there for the same thing. |

| I agree with lllaurrrennn's interpretation almost completely. However, I thought swan song was her breaking off the relationship. "I wrote the words to the swan song, the author of the wrong, and I said what I said and I meant it, but now I regret it." In my interpretation, the girl left the guy, and she meant what she said, but now she desperately wants him back. | |

I love this song. Its so pertty, and it makes me cry sometimes when I hear it, but mostly because I remember the meaning someone told me of the word "maps". I can't guarentee it's true or not but someone told me "maps" is actually supposed to be m.a.p.s, and stand for "my Agnes please stay", which is really awfully clever, and then I get into substitution my ex-lovers name and it makes me sad. Although I am not sure if that's true or not haha. But I like to think it is <3 |
