This song seems pretty apparent to be about a 'love gone sour.' I've been in a relationship for currently two years, in the first year my boyfriend was struggling with his heroin addict. (And no, not every sad song is about drug addiction.) I believe in music, and in art that the artist desires anyone to be moved; however that may be. I really related this song to my troubles at the time. "I told you to be patient, I told you to be kind, I told you to be balanced." I was at a desperate time and wanted to control it all. And felt like I needed a push from him to get out, though I was so in love. To cut my ropes. Anyhow, it's just a personal meaning. This is a beautiful, beautiful song. Take whatever you can from music.: ) |
