| I think this song is about a relationship that is a constant battle (violence references) or is going downhill and the protagonist is stuggling to come out on top (or without getting hurt). This is causing much frustration and in the end he just wants to move on, "I want to scream one last death medley, I am looking for a reason to secure a forward motion". Also it might be a reflection of the good and bad points of the relationship (second verse). Yea I agree with the golden rule being 'treat others as you would wish to be treated' and the chorus brings this up as a reminder to the other person in the relationship. | |
