this song has brought me to tears so many times. it's a gentle sadness....the weak, deteriorated will of a soul who has poured out all of his heart, his energy, his life for this one cause, this one, relentless battle that before, he had refused to lose. but finally, he comes face to face with himself, and is finally willing to see reality for what it is. he is finally willing to accept that there is nothing left that he can do. so tired, defeated, he leaves his hope.
and, to me, that is one of the hardest parts of life. |

this is the kind of song you only like if you relate to it. you know some songs...you don't like at first...but later on in life you accidentally rediscover it, and all of the sudden you understand in a way you never have before. because by then you've experienced something that is perfectly expressed by the song...and it becomes immensely powerful to you....(well me at least). raw, unadulterated emotion. beautiful |
