The narrator is only speaking to the one person for the most part, in the chorus the you becomes more broad and general. "the devil" he is speaking about is him personifying the way our society works, you know "oh ive got a pill for that", etc. were in the business of finding magical cures/solutions for everything.. usually they dont solve the problem but merely act as a distraction. |

im actually kinda irritated that you just assumed that maynard thinks love=weakness, as if some sort of negativity. This is the opposite of the msg. He is saying the birds and the bees (as an example of non-humans) see the reality of the world, not the version of reality that we are being spoonfed by the people in power on earth. where does it say he doesnt believe in love anymore? The rain is symbolic of the environment that we are living in now.. its much much more negative than it could and should be. Maynard is "awake" now.. its obvious in his writting. He is unveiling the truth like so many others are trying to, he is a smart man and thus his msgs are in coded/metaphorical terms.. if you yourself are truly "awake" than its alot easier to see the truths in his msg. |

There is a reason why this song seems like they are on a DMT trip, DMT being a natural chemical that gets released from your pineal gland when you dream. So when you are on DMT you are in a lucid dream, and everything you are seeing and experiencing is through your third eye. Your open to actual reality. We are all spirits who have a body and a mind. If you do research you will see the "third eye" symbol EVERYWHERE in both religious symbolism as well as old cultures like Egyptian times on top of the Great Pyramids. We used to be very connected with our spiritual selves and actually we are all very much strangers to our spiritual selves because our attention has been grabbed by the media, government and by our friends and families who are just unknowingly passing down these distractions. We are all MUCH more powerful than we realize, we are all little gods and there is a definite oneness between all humans (all spirits). The people in power on this planet are going out of their way to keep us detached from our spiritual selves so that they have absolute power over us. We all need to wake up and embrace ourselves, fully and completely love ourselves and share that love with others. Love is the message of the 4th dimension, and its a beautiful things. If you open your eyes to those in the world who are trying to share that message you will see what its all about.. the arcade fire, mgmt, the beatles, david wilcock to name a very very few. Notice how you feel inside when you love, notice the connection between your lungs and the air that you breath, how good it feels, how refreshing water is, how much we enjoy the taste of food.
