Why doesn't he want it? Because she wants to leave him for another girl. He wants her, but she is not interested in him at all anymore. |

I think this song is about a girl. She may possibly be African-American.
He seems to enjoy the actions of said-girl.
Or I could be totally off... |

Life on the road, being away from your loved one. Everyone makes mistakes, especially our character in the song and he knows he has been forgiven for some but there are always more. He really wants the relationship to work out, but its a two-way street, he can't do everything on his own and needs help on the other end too. Even though it may not always seem that he is satisfied he wants nothing more than for it to work out. |

What? I don't believe you honestly feel that way. I bet you're one of the people that get off by watching the ensuring rage comments when you put down an incredible song, especially one by Dio. |

With The Who, it's not just only two original members, they're the only surviving members. (Still, love all those bands you listed.)
I'm also a pilot and absolutely love this song, good connection to it after hearing it for the first time. After spending time away, whether it's days, months, or even years, few things are as symbolic as seeing those runway lights as your about to touch down on your way home. |

The "rain" is a metaphor though, they don't actually mean the physical rain heals all the wounds |

| Thin Lizzy – Dancing in the Moonlight (It's Caught Me in Its Spotlight) Lyrics

Beautiful song that brings back my own summer memories.
To me, it's about living in the moment, going on and having fun while you can. "When I passed you in the doorway\well you took me with a glance\I should have took that last bus home\But I asked you for a dance"
"It's three o'clock in the morning\And I'm on the streets again\I disobeyed another warning\I should have been in by ten" Again, realizing you really should be doing something else, but you're so caught up in the moment and everything's right so you continue what you're doing. |

I think 'lovelylunatic' hit the nail square on the head with that one.
It's simply doing what you do for you, and nothing else. Everything else falls into place. If you live for yourself and not others, everything will work out. |
