its just about the feeling you get when everything just kind of overwhelms you you see everything for what it is, at the time, but youre seeing it from every angle all at the same time in a sort of universal sense, and you can never tell if this insight is everything, it grows up and inside of you, but in that moment it could be an entire lifetime, it could be 3 years, but it might as well be your whole life, and then it ends, and you know it will come again, someday, so essentially this is the first of the children of this 'thing' of experiences, and that pushing synth line, restrained and beaten by the drums and voice, tells you there is no complete escape, and he laments for all the children who will grow to have this same experience, and for himself all at the same time, since in this moment he might as well be a child, fated for the same experience again.
i also wonder if he wrote the song while listening to the original, it sort of tells the story but adds an incredible amount of tension to the song, as if he went in and dug and strangled out every bit of tension that was in the original piece, sort of flipping it on its head, whee mild und leise tells a pretty story he takes all of the sunshine out of it |

seriously? just because he didnt go into detail about the color socks roger waters had on when he made it doesnt mean he didnt get the meaning right. in general that isthe main theme of the song, i guess in the context of the album it adds another ocuple of dimensions to it, but this ones really pretty simple, and while deeply profound and insightful, still simple |

yea i dont think this is a love song, it seems to be talking about loving the nothingness inside himself, the excuse to keep on living just in a still picture type life, but hes torn between whether to escape it or keep living it since its not bad living a dull life, but its not good either |

wonder if this is a reference to tool, the song lateralus is based on spirals and climaxes with the line "spiral out keep going", but its probably accidental since spirals are a pretty broad topic |

no... its just random words one of them said on the tour bus that vaguely have a sort of like kind of meaning, i think its just more of a device to kick off the song and give the impression of fragmented thoughts, as the whole song never completes a sentence, pobably just about being high. the song after it has the incredible deep message of im bored and on the road, why not smoke my hash, so im guessing they were being sarcastic with this song, its an incredible song though, its weird that this osng and if i had a heart by fever ray have almost the same sounding drone thing in it |

well that part is about the time i guess when thom yorke had a mental breakdown, but its at 2:53 in the song, more or less the golden section of it. i think its a reference to boards of canada, and the song roygbiv by them, and at this point al of the colors merge into one, but seperate, "like ripples on a blank shore" - coincidence that both ideas are presented at the golden ratio of their specific songs? who knows |

yea, the whole album is about this, 15 step he cant move on because hes eternally stuck, bodysnatchers he goes blindly but has no clue what hes doing, nude he has big ideas, but he cant complete them, weird fishes this inability pulls him to the bottom, but he feels like he can swim out because hes so far down, i think its pretty self explanatory, also how every radiohead album rehashes these same themes in the same order, spot on, is amazing, because everytime its still interesting |

cmon, really? i might not (big brother reads these obviously lol) agree with the war in iraq, but i have a car that uses oil, should i ditch that to make a futile statement that everyone would know is just hurting myself, and to the average american labels me as an irrational follower of the anti-oil cause or could i say something about the war to politicians or make a song, or do something that people will really respect, to actually help the problem? |

i disagree, i think its one of their best experiments, idk if its at the same level as everything in its right place or like spinning plates for originality, since its so heavily inspired by autechre and co. but its certainly great, if you really listen to it its amazing how complex it is underneath the blanket of the sample reduction, he attention to detail in the positioning of every different element is amazing, the left and right channels are completely different beats, and it comes out of nowhere as it flows so seamlessly from pyramid song, which didnt do anything this extreme, to each his own but i love this song, but i do like autechre a lot so i guess im prone to say anything with the same ideas is better than it is lol |

obviously its about la because a remixer decided to relate it to la... cmon, really? but its true that they write a lot about the desert, they "used the desert as a mental image" for one of their albums, in america and how its so vast and empty, free of american interference, yet still part of all that is america, its interesting to mehowthe desert is just as meaningless and barren as american life, even though its natural. its a great concept to me, i also like how the intro of the great movie koyaanisqatsi shows this too |

could it be about yourself and talking to your own happines and blissful ignorance and realizing youve been living in ignorance for a long time, making a fool of yourself (spreading disease)by showing your ignorance, clutching on to your old ideas about life, like all of us do, trying to find a meaning in life and something to show you the way, someone who knows more than you, but you realize that in doing this so long you never formed your own opinion about life, so your tired of fighting to find something meaningful and correct so you give up pretending, and finally find your own way, regardless who says its right or wrong? idk thats just another way of looking at it, and the mind of your own parts dont really fit in a relationship situation that well to me, yea i guess it works there, but its not the greatest way to convey that point, and the fact that its repeated after every questioning verse, makes me think shes trying to say something else |

when the beat came in i instantly got the sense of havent i heard this before and i realized that yes, i have, it was called the fragile and was 20 times better, also it reminds me of the clash's reggae song, criticizing the people who pretend to like reggae, oh the irony. that said, this song isnt all that bad, i feel like this album is about nothing at all, and its just a huge reflection on where hes gone in his life and what he longs for after something obviously died in him or some apocalyptic event happened, but idk |

the lyrics do imply it, sleepless itch, shoot it deep, straight into my mind.. how much more explicit does it have to be. and yea its about how its about everything, and nothing at the same time, its about all can be personified into this one "thing" this rhyme, or this song. its about how a relationship, addiction, song, or anything are just an incessant way to find something to consume your time, and your thoughts because your really too "tired" to fight it and break free of the allure of having something to occupy your mind, because in the song before it on the epically underrated album it shows how he lost himself to something he personifies as a woman and doesnt remember anything and is lost in a sea of nothingness, this song then showing that he always needs something to occupy his mind, even if that is the nothingness of heroin, the meaninglessness of a song you overlistened to, a crappy relationship, a girl, so thats hwat its about |
