the lyrics: "It may be a lie But I�m tired And I�m right about ready to show no soul, no no" should be changed to: "I may be alive But I�m tired And I�m right about ready to shout no so, no no" which changes the discussion about suicide vs. cynicism and in a way i think its both. But if you listen, the musical changes mirror the lyrical changes (ie. minor to major = hopeless to hopeful or at least acceptance of ones humanity). The speaker seems to come full circle of acceptance of the loss of control. powerful song :D |
