Well when it was first released this song was rather annoying, but thats because when i first got into music (e.g. Guitar / vocals) i never focused on the melody side of things. After hearing it about 2 months ago i listen to it on a daily basis now. Sure it dont suit everyones taste but it did take me what... 5 years to get a taste for it, thats probably because i began listening to Starsailor a few years back. The meaning is straight-forward and so are the lyrics, but its sung with alot of emotion that im sure everyone can relate to and he does actually have a good voice, he just sings in a different style to most singers out there. I enjoy this song, and ill use it for when i go Busking lol, but i have a more... Myles Kennedy / Ed Sloan voice so it will sound different, but none the less, ima have fun with it. Good song, fullstop. (Also i love how theres a ton of troll comments on this, seriously people why waste your time just to become a mockery over the internet?) |

Incredible song, no other way to really describe it. Im not religious myself so flame me all you want but im not changing, i like the way i am. To me, alongside looking at the video, its saying about how were all born, raised, taught, and sent out into the world to be just like others. To follow the chain and lead a life like the guy infront of you inline. No matter what you do, you can change a person physically to look just like the others, or to be set apart to be looked up at (As shown in the video with the birds head on the body), but you cant change that persons thoughts about what they want. "We are not the same as I hope to show. There is a better way if we just let go. We are not... we are not the same. We are not... we are not the same. Let go..." We like our lifes in Parallels to each other, we do things the same, but we will not always be the same as anyone else. The better way, is if we let go of our selfish greed old ways and help out each other more. But when reading through and listening to the lyrics, it seems to tell 2 different storys. That which i just explained, but also greed, like nagstar89 pointed out. It seems that no matter how much we get (Information, wealth, fame) we always want more and never seem to appreciate how much we already have. Anyway thats my mind Reevo |

| Crossfade – We All Bleed (Demo) Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I don't know about anyone else, but to me the message in this song sounds like Ed's sick of everyone talking about Crossfades Album Falling Away and how he sings about emotions and such compared to their self titled album. "This hate is bleeding in front of me Confused and bleeding in front of me Your life, bleeding in front of me We all fucking bleed so let it go" The hate is from fans / critics alike who dislike the album because he sings about whats happened to him from relationships, etc. The "bleed" is the fact that we all have hard times So let it go, give it up because you know that you too have rough times and feel down and that its stupid to think that someone singing about it is a "sissy" (whatever you've decided to call him at times lol) We're all fucking freaks So just let it go Exactly what i said before, hes a "freak" because hes not ashamed to admit his feelings about the harsh times, and obviously we all are too because who hasn't really? Meh thats just my thoughts people, Cheers |

If there's an edit button, id love to know where.. anyway i needed to add to: Well personally my first images of listening to this incredible song was that of a convicted murderer "I don’t belong here I never saw this on the path I walk The blood-stained walls, the lines of chalk on the floor" To me those lyrics are speaking of a murder scene, and "I don't belong here, i never saw this on the path i walk" The events that happened to him, he never planned in his life, his path to walk on through life, and he believes he shouldn't be there because it seems unfair to him, that he has to waste his life in the slammer, even though he took another persons life away. |

Well personally my first images of listening to this incredible song was that of a convicted murderer "I don’t belong here I never saw this on the path I walk The blood-stained walls, the lines of chalk on the floor" To me those lyrics are speaking of a murder scene, and "So now I’m stuck here Between the guilty and the insincere The words I spoke have left me here all alone" Could refer to a court room / prison. Between the convicted and the 2-faced liar's (Lawyers, and again convicted) "I found a dark, infernal place I don’t want to face anymore Somehow, I won’t stop feeding the pain My heart’s just the same as before" The dark infernal place, well to me that's an instant image of "hell" (Im not christian, so what if i listen to christian bands?) and feeding the pain is the fact he keeps thinking over what he did and in turn it is causing more and more pain (well he killed someone, he deserves it) "If this is all the love my spirit can give Just take it back tonight There is not a reason more to live" All the "love" he is giving out is actually the pain and suffering he has known to be love, and the line "There is not a reason more to live" is where he has thought through it all, realized what he has done, and may continue to do, and the thought of suicide / death seems to be the right thing to do. Again as i said, im not christian so yeah.. These are my thoughts, cheers to a great song and incredible band. |
