Al Stewart – Sand in Your Shoes Lyrics 13 years ago
This, according to Al himself, was a song he tried to create in Dylan-esque style, and he concludes that it probably did not work. I don't think it sounds Bob Dylan. It sounds better.

Al Stewart – Lord Grenville Lyrics 13 years ago
This song is amazing. I love the atmosphere. It is about Lord Richard Grenville the English 17th Century navy captain who failed miserably in an attack against the more populous Spainish army. The tale is brought to life by Al's masterful lyrics and beautiful vocal work.

Supertramp – Asylum Lyrics 13 years ago
I love the ending. "He's mad, mad, mad, mad, mad, mad, ....NOT QUITE RIGHT!

Haha, i've just noticed that 'Not quite right' is a contrast to 'Bloody Well Right's : "Right? Quite Right!"

Supertramp – Know Who You Are Lyrics 13 years ago
Really beautiful, but unlike most of Supertramp's songs, you have to be in a certain mood to want to hear it. The lyrics are uplifting, and I am always touched by Hodgson's passion and soul which is demonstrated in his songs.

Supertramp – Casual Conversations Lyrics 13 years ago
I love this song. Once again from Supertramp we have desperate lyrics shrouded in a positive-sounding tune. So beautiful, so relaxing, but saddening too. The essence of Breakfast in America.

I heard that this is Rick Davies singing about Hodgson, and the growing space between them in a band relationship sense, but also musically. The situation of Supertramp was not good in terms of Rick and Roger's friendship. This verse sums it up completely:

'There's no communication left between us
But is it me or you who's to blame
There's nothing I can do, yes you're fading out of view
Don't know if I feel joy or pain'
