a through street symbolises unrestricted flow. it represents events that are not kept track of. it represents things come and go, in a fashion that is easily forgettable and just part of the hustle and bustle of said street. but this is not a through street. some tiny events and recollections, happy or sad, are remembered with fondness or sadness. these little events are what's left of her memories of this relationship, what defines the relationships for her, and in a sense, these tiny recollections are what she has kept track of as she journeyed with her ex-lover as they passed down this street. since these events are remembered with clarity and emotions that they used to bring, it is not a through street, but a street that is cluttered and obstructed with many different memories, happy and sad. my eyes got a little wet typing this out. |
