I was thinking the chorus, "Owner of a lonely heart, much better than the owner of a broken heart", means... Following your dreams and taking the road less traveled and NOT going with the flow, would be a lonelier road, therefore you would be the "Owner Of A Lonely Heart", but it would be "much better than the owner of a broken heart", which is what you would get, if you don't go for what you want in life.
Wasting a life following all the "shoulds" of life and the path laid out for you by the expectations of others. |

I love both Roundabout and Owner of a Lonely Heart. They both excellent playing, audio quality and meaningful lyrics. There's nothing wrong with Owner of a Lonely Heart. An opinion is one thing, but an elitist attitude is counterproductive, it makes you miserable (obsessing about your preferences) and most people don't want to hear it. |
