| The Wonder Years – I Just Want to Sell Out My Funeral Lyrics | 12 years ago |

"I just want to know that I did all I could with what I was given." May just be the best closing line to an album I've ever heard. |

| Latterman – Fear And Loathing On Long Island Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
I think it's pretty clearly about rejecting the romanticization of self-loathing and self-destruction that predominated the scene at the time; specifically, Latterman positions themselves pretty firmly opposite of the reigning emo scene of the mid-00s. I think "Get me home again, get me home again. Start to search for a good friend" and "Break the bottle, I still won't find you in the bottom Or anywhere around here" have some interesting continuity between them, and flow well into the sarcasm of the next line. Excellent song. |
