This is my favorite song on the new album, Time of My Life. To me, it's about him losing himself in a relationship and trying to explain it to his girlfriend. He has become a different person and he wants to end things so that he can become himself again. He's put away the past and now he's moving on and he's found somebody that understands him. |

Revolution red had a good interpretation of the meaning of the song. When I listen to this song it has a different meaning to me which I don't think was the intentional one. It sort if seems like he's in a relationship with a girl who is blinded by him and it's so easy for him to cheat on her. He has replaced her with these other girls but he isnt ready to break up with her because he's still trying to figure out how he feels for her. mainly from the part: Well there's this secret I've been perfecting. I swear I wouldn't but you let me. I'm comfortably confused. You've gotten so removed. |
