AFI – A Story At Three Lyrics 14 years ago
I think he's singing more about the fallen as a whole rather than Satan, but its not as if he is glorifying the devil and his followers just merely comparing them to those outcasts in society because they don't agree with societies social standards, it short its a metaphor for freaks, goths, and the unpopular in general.

Munly And The Lee Lewis Harlots – The Denver Boot Redux Lyrics 14 years ago
Sounds like his father was an alcoholic, but instead of struggling to come to terms with his fathers bad decisions, the writer doesn't blame his father for making them because he feels sorry for him.

Munly And The Lee Lewis Harlots – Big Black Bull Comes Like A Caesar Lyrics 14 years ago
These lyrics are really screwed up, brilliant, but absolutely horrible. My interpretations range from he was sexually abused as a child; to he was born gay. It also may be about him and his brother witnessing something mortifying when they were very young, multiple times even. If anyone has any other insight please share. I find Munly's songs to be heavy with symbolism, but its hard for me to decipher what he is exactly singing about sometimes.

AFI – Morningstar Lyrics 15 years ago
Satan is the morning star, and was god’s angel of light. "beneath the stairs (beneath heaven), glowing through the melting wall" he's talking about hell. "who will be the first to begin their fall" that would be Satan. "Am I the star beneath the stairs, am I the ghost upon the stage,” he’s relating himself to the circumstances that Satan under went when he fell from grace. He's not identifying himself as Satan but correlating his life’s experiences with Satan’s fall only as a metaphor.
