I think he is describing a love he had for a girl who left him for another man. He doesn't truly believe that the other man could love her as much as he did. I also think 'white blank page' is refering to their relationship, they had such a story to write but were never given the chance- which enraged him when she left. he wants to be lead to the truth, to know that she really does love him and that this other man cant love her with the intensity that he did |

Yeah i love this song too. I think its a reminder of how things can seem so terrible in life, but they can always improve. The tide turning, is like describing a fresh start, an uplifting change or difference. I love the line 'just hold on to what we know is true'. it says so much in so few words |
