Beautiful song, I think this song is about the singer or the listeners life (how ever you want to interperate it) meeting someone new or someone they have been freinds with for a while and getting closer to them then finding reasons as to why they are to hold on to them, and subsequently taking a risk with them to be with them. It leaves him with a choice to be with this girl or to awalk away, but apart of him cant walk away, while she wants to be with him, but is unsure because of her past faults/experiences. You and I are the same thing Simple yet we complicate the design It's working but I just feel there's a faster way to arrive I think this part can be looked at that they are both the same type of people yet very complicated in who they are and why they are that way , but somehow they match together and there is that rush to rush things so they can ne complete with each other I can taste it And I want answers I can't live for the lie I'll keep chasing Cause I can feel something's gonna change - I guess this part can be looked at, that he/she can feel and taste the emotion but does not want to live a lie, so they keep chasing for the truth from eachother and hopefully things will change and it will work out. Hold on, soon we'll be gone You will follow me one day In time, when we divide And you walk further than me Somehow I feel that the one last piece will align - This part can be interpreted as they should both hold on and fight for what they have and in time it wil be worth it as it will all fall together and align, hence in time. This is just a my interpretation from my standpoint however the song can be looked at different angles, more away from relationships and more into maybe a event which changed his life and he is relating to an event. thanks wildlife USA california |
