Hello I am a Christian and this song Hit my heart at a very important time in my life it gave me both courage and hope. The Song is to me a Song from God to me. I was thinking about the world and i was in tears about it when this song came on the car radio and i heard it for the first time. I had to pull over and stop the car because i was crying so much. Ok i will go through the song and interpret it: When you're close to tears remember Someday it'll all be over ( Someday it will all be over is talking about 2 things. One being my death and the other being the Way the world is now with all its hate corruption and violance and lack of love) One day we're gonna get so high ( One Day i am going to be resurected into a perfect body and will be with Jesus in eternity in a perfect existance sourounded by truth and Love) Though it's darker than December What's ahead is a different colour (Darker than december is a pointer to the current state of the world and peoples lives in it. And what's ahead os a changed world where the hate, the evil and corruption will be swept away) One day we're gonna get so high And at the end of the day remember the days When we were close to the end And wonder how we made it through the night The end of the Day is the end of Days the time just before the comming of the Messiah Jesus, persecution of christians will become terrable and most will be beheaded because they believe Jesus but sone will survive through the darkest of days and be here to see the second coming of Jesus. At the end of the day Remember the way We stayed so close to the end We'll remember it was me and you (The "Way" is the Way of salvation through the Atonement of the Messiah Jesus. So during the end of Days it will be important to never forget the Way. Staying so close to the end means staying alive so close to the second coming of Jesus. "me and you" refers to God and Me, God will be with me through the Holy Spirit to the end he shall not abandon me but will give me peace and strengh to face the dark days) Cause we are gonna be Forever, you and me You will Always keep it flying high in the sky Of love (Yes God and me will be together for forever and my Heart will always be flying high in the sky of His Love) Don't you think it's time you started Doing what we always wanted ( What i wanted and what God wanted and we both still want is to share the message of Gods forgivness through the Atonment of the Messiah Jesus so that others will have the love and peace and assurance that come from God. It is a call to share the gospel.) The rest of the song is a reinforcement of the Message from God. I still get tears in my eyes everytime i listen to this song, tears of sadness for the people of the world and tears of Joy at knowing the Love of God for me. The song is talking about the coming end times World tribulation that preceeds the second coming of the Messiah Jesus. Both Noah and Moses gave warning of destruction in their day. The Zombies are the people who are blinded by the world system and the people in high places are the world leaders who are servents of evil who see to it the zombies stay as zombies. The next verse laments just how few true followers of Jesus there are in the world and that they are isolated individuels shunned by society. The last line of the chapter "you don't have to hide anymore" is both an encouragment to them that their deliverance is near and also a call for them to come out and give the true message of God, so that some may be saved during the end times. |
