| Bruce Dickinson, Maiden's vocalist, revealed the meaning of this one while doing the intro on the live album "Beast Over Hammersmith", from '82. Although he doesn't mention how the guy died, he does say ". . . It's a song about a gentleman who goes up top, then comes back down to have another go at life." Sounds to me like it could be about a guy who dies before his fate is fully served on Earth, so he's sent back down to complete it. | |
