| I think the whole song has to do with the "progression" of society, "how deceiving is the cemetery of motivation", and along the way we lose our values and morals. such as a family loses their integrity. i originally also thought that the "family" was refering to society, though i could be mistaken. also the lines "each note will disintigrate" and "i wish to write a conclusion" both deal with the band and their ideas. i think that each note will disintigrate means some of their messages may be lost along the way and thus they wish to write a conclusion that sums up easily what they try to convey to the rest of the world. | |

My opinion of this song's lyrics are that the 1st to lines as many said refer to the bible. Especially that the bible "these writings" were written for sinners, mourners, etc. in order for them to find God. Like the "chorus" praising God is what sinners should be doing i think. also "fight life with life" might be fight the life of a sinner with the life of a Christian not in a physical way but in a way of a sinner taking on the morals and beliefs of a Christian. "What are we looking at? Rumors, Rumors, Rumors." Maybe thats the reaction of those who don't believe in God to the bible. Anyway please let me know if you agree/disagree |
