I think it's primarily about acceptance. A guy's having an internal conflict over his girlfriend's sleeping around. He loves her and wants her all to himself but he knows that she could never change. Part of him wants to just love her the way she is, but part of him can't deal with it, so he finds himself fighting with her again and again even though he knows that "the worst part" is his jealousy (and the resulting arguments), not her lack of commitment. "Everybody dies frustrated and sad, and that is beautiful." Beautiful, but not necessarily fun. Great song! |
