It probably feels like nerves being torn from their ends. I think prospect 1 and 2 are the same being.. In the final part of Lunar Wilderness Prospect 2 realizes what Prospect 1 is feeling. The feeling of utter failure, the end of all life. "Home. The empty space of home. All I've known is gone. All I've loved is lost. Silence." Hypersleep is a way of being put into another beings consciousness. |

Also, "Trust the pedestal(Me), for now we become a higher being."- Hes the pedestal because hes the one telling you what to do, trust him, for now we will rise over our flaws and become a higher being And, "A letter plagued by a twisted word. Slave" random shot in the dark on this one, i think hes saying the word "Slave" has a bad connotation to it, like.. most people don't want to be told what to do, but the world would run better and more efficiently if you were forced to listen and follow commands. It sounds fucked up but in reality, our freedoms are fucking stupid and our desire for entertainment is even more retarded. Why waste time when there's so much information out there to find out. I mean, that's basically why we evolved, to explore the universe. You have your senses to explore, and your brain to compile information. Your brain won't ever be capable of knowing it all, but it is capable of making something that could record it all. I think thats the general direction the cult leader wants to point our race in. But if we do stay on our current course im sure people will eventually outgrow their desire for materials, specifically money, and outgrow abusing their senses, Music(Hearing), Food(Taste), Art(Seeing), Sex,(Touch). These are our flaws, enjoyment, gluttony in every aspect of the word. "There will not be a sweet consolation" AKA You will not receive any payment or consolation for you effort, but "This is what is supposed to happen" (Evolve) Wow this one really dragged out... Alright so, heres my take on this. Most people can generally guess its about a cult, its fairly obvious, but im taking it one step further. I don't think this "cult", or its leader, are particularly "evil" or are bad for what they are trying to do, i also don't think the leader believes they are a cult either, but most people would consider them a cult.-"I am a cult by definition." - AKA, im not a cult, but what im doing seems like it to you. "I have regrets."- Most cult leaders and people who wish to destroy have mental problems, and generally do not regret what they do, or know if it is right or wrong. Another sign of is sanity, and good nature. What they are trying to do if it isn't obvious is destroy all of humanity, and from what it sounds like restart the human race.- "My task: to recycle this earth. To not repeat human history...Start from scratch...rid every sound. Deconstruct...deconstruct all." They are probably fed up with all the ignorant and pathetic human beings on the planet who kill, and murder for their "religions". -"I am a scientist by default." Obviously a scientists generally don't believe in Religions,(Not to say they don't believe in a creator) because they're capable of answering the questions most of us ignore and say "God" is the answer. The child is probably an orphan and knows nothing of religion, or of war, or any other bullshit on the planet and is capable of being saved for his brain isn't wired to our society. Overall i think this song is about a person who is tired of the human race and wants to restart and tell everyone what is real with no bullshit. And honestly if you think about it right now, if 99% of the human race died, and what you had left were the intelligent people, there wouldn't be war, or crime, the future would definitely be a lot better off. He may or may not want to actually kill people, he actually just want to express those views and just change things that way, maybe kill our Superegos. A vision he wants to display of a better future. Br00t song. |

| I agree with the sex part a bit. Im pretty sure its about a break up, seems obvious. Decrescendo being the downfall of their relationship, sounds like a really long relationship, as decrescendos normally follow something epic in proportion. Killer song, that one riff that starts out clean and goes distorted is the best, the bridge part. | |

Maybe the person isn't so much one particular person, but.. how about a whole race of beings who have within the past 5000 years come to consciousness and are currently wondering their origins, no so much amnesia, but an in general lack of knowledge. The evolutionary sleeper could be the last 3 billion years of evolution if you would consider not having a brain "sleeping". He wants to know the "truth beyond the mind", not what we have made up for ourselves, religion and ect, but the actual origins. This song goes well with Integral Birth, i believe that song is about the origins of the universe. |

| i think tommy just writes the entire song, lyrically, and then fits the words into the music, so the parenthesis i think are just extra lyrics that he couldn't fit. Maybe. A lot of the newer songs have that and i never hear the lyrics in parenthesis so thats my logical guess. | |

The last 5 minutes of the song i feel like are about us as humans right now, always finding new things that we didn't previously understand, and we're very stubborn about things we believe in. I feel like Tommy is telling everyone to take control of our human race. We can create and change, man is god, and the thought of religion is almost childish to believe. As an organism we just didn't know any better at the time, "A simple life we must break, for man is god". "With simple skies we create more sky" - What was once just lights in the sky is now an entire universe filled with endless amounts of possibilities. "How fast we grow" is almost like.. looking back, how far we have come, how much farther the human race has to go to achieving anything even notable on a universal scale. We must move on. That's how I see it at least. |
