Reading through this 2 years on I cant believe no-one else has the same view as me... I think alex is writing in 3rd person about himself and his girlfriend at the time just after there first album release, he was gonna be touring(In a foreign place)and He was ready to impress And the fiercely excited. He had a girlfriend whom he was very much in love with at the time and who was the icing on the cake. he had to leave her as much as he didnt want to. then maybe he told everyone he would stay in touch and he knows that thats not possible. he also hopes that she finds someone else by new years eve. the girl is the only one that knows that he doesnt want to leave her... but he has to. |
