Lovethatsong, I agree with you that apriluofa totally nailed the meaning of this song. The chorus states the moments leading up to an event (sun before the burn, thunder before lightning, breath before the kiss, walk before the run)... i interpret that to be the fear someone falling in love can have during that one split second before asking the phrase "Have you ever felt this way?". Putting yourself out there is very hard to do and sometimes you have to look fear in the face and say "I just don't care." Cliche love ballad or not this is probably the most beautiful love songs Pink has ever wrote and preformed thus far. |
