| Maybe it's just me, but isn't it "beat me and tell me that no one will love me", not "meet me"? | |

| I'd like to mention that you're going to die one day and you chose to spend the little time you have on writing that comment. | |

Yeah, I definitely agree with you (ditalacroix). She's a hypocrite and a lot of songs are quite mean (a good example is like you mentioned, this song and "Better Than Revenge"), but if you ever mention it you get bashed by some of her fans (I am one, by the way) as if you have to agree to everything she does just because you like her music. By the way, I heard this is about a reporter, does anyone know what the person actually wrote about her that was so awful? |

| Taylor Swift – Picture to Burn Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I feel like I need to write this because I think people misunderstand the lyrics. When she sings "I'll tell mine you're gay" she doesn't mean that in a condescending way nor does she mean that if he doesn't want her, he must be gay. She means that she's gonna tell her friends that he's gay because it's, TO HIM, something that's bad and horrible and so on, which becomes her revenge for him calling her "obsessive and crazy". She doesn't think being gay is bad (at least the song doesn't state that), but HE does. Gosh, if people could think further than their noses... |

| Definitely agreed. | |

If this really is about Adam Young, she did a great job with producing it. 'Cause it kinda sounds like an Owl City song. Just like Dear John have some guitarparts that sounds like a John Mayer song and Better Than Revenge kinda sounds like a Jonas Brothers song. And the line "blushing all the way home" just gets to me :'3 |

| Kate Nash – Little Red Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think this song is about growing up. 'Little red' I think represents her having her period for the first time. "And all the birds and the bees lived so peacefully And all of the babies they slept so gently until... Little Red" They were children until one day they realized they weren't, and now they had to start doing the "grown-up stuff". The birds and the bees represents their parents, who also gets affected when their kids grow up. Her garden represents her body, and the flowers are parts of her body. "Little garden, how do I make your flowers grow" could be about her breasts not being the 'right' size (or her height). "All the other gardens are so full of flowers. They're so colouful, yeah, I spend all these hours trying to make you as beautiful as them but sti-i-i-il you refrain." Is about her comparing herself to other girls and thinking they're more pretty and beautiful, so she tries to be that beautiful (put on makeup, fix her hair and clothes etc...) but she never become as beautiful as them. Then this boy comes along telling her to come with him and have some fun and stop caring about what other people think. "Should I go or should I stay? My flowers are dying and i'm sick and tired anyway. This boy seems kind of cool, his jeans are kind of low, Well, I think i'll go." Is about her doubting at first and then deciding to come along with him. "Oh let's pack a picnic and then go for a drive. [....] 'Cause your smile is beautiful and it makes me happy." Is when their relationship is over and she's thinking about what they can do now when they're adults and that she wants him to come back. "Well, this little girl grew up and moved away. And she lived her life full of risk and full of play. And she lived her life with so much to say, And her flowers, they grow more beautiful every day." Is about how he taught her to live and to be a better person, not vain and conceited. And because of that her garden (she) became more beautiful, because the inside is what matters in the end ^^, |

"And how you held me in your arms that September night" I'd guess that's about the VMA's (I'm really proud that I came up with that...). Gosh, her new album is just too amazing :') |

| Taylor Swift – Dear John Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Her voice is just amazing in this. In some of her songs I think she can be a little high pitch, but this is just perfect. Her voice actually gets better by each album :D | |
| Kate Nash – You Were So Far Away Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| That is so weird. I actually thought about prostitution when I heard this at first, but for some reason I just wouldn't believe it was about such a strong topic (apparently I underestimate Kate), and when I heard her interview about this song, I got so shocked I was right. This song is absolutely wonderful. | |

| Am I the only one who thinks this one have quite similar lyrics to Taylor Swift's 'Sparks Fly'? | |
| Paramore – My Heart Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I thought the song was about Jeremy (Davis) leaving the band at first; "Sing us a song and we'll sing back to you We could sing our own But what would it be without you?" Meaning they could still be Paramore, but it wouldn't be the same as before. But when I read the other comments saying it was about God, I realized that made more sense. |

| Paramore – Teenagers (Hayley Williams) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think this song is about Hayley's teenage-years, and how she felt and acted and what happened. That's probably why the lines: "Ignore the fact that we sleep No more than three feet apart" is in it, which probably is about Josh and her touring together. I like the song, but I can't really relate to it. Yeah, I'm a teenager, but I've never been and probably never will be that cocky I-know-everthing-and-I'm-so-awesome type of teenager. I just feel a bit attacked by it, even though I know that's not the point :P Haha, I felt the same to Taylor Swifts "Fifteen". |
