"POWDERY paradise" is refering to snow. Having gone skiing on newly fallen snow, its very "powdery". Adam Young is a Christian and wouldnt sing about drugs. :) |

Most people that commented got it right, this song is definitely about God. We as humans do so desperately need God. Adam claims in this song that he has been made new. The only way a human is made new is through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ willingly gave His life for ours. In fact, He had to give His life. 1. Because He loved us. 2. Because of our sin. He did die, but rose again after 3 days. He is alive! I speak to Him everyday. :) I pray all the world will be made new. We all so desperately need Him. :) |

Well, I am a Christian myself. And hearing that Adam Young is a Christian, I listen to his songs and try to find the Christian meaning behind them, not all of them really have Christian tones, but some do, like you said Meteor Shower,"I'm not my own, for i have been made new" is in fact a quote of a Bible verse, but i'll talk more about that on that songs page ;) I agree with the you also about the last part, it reminded me of tempation as well. I love Owl City and the music, honestly, I see it as a man using his God-given talents with music, and giving this world some hope. :) |

Very good reply, i actually signed up just so I could tell you..,anyway, this song definitely makes me sad because the girl I love so so so very much, is not able to be with me right now, I am in a waiting period. Waiting on God, plus we have to because her Dad wants us to wait, I cant even communicate with her right now(The father is quite unconventional) but I know we will be together, and it will work out, for God is good like that. :) I just get sad hearing songs like these, reminds me soooo much of her. Man, I love her so so so so so much, and she loves me, we just have to wait. I could tell you forever my love for her, but anyway, thanks for the post. |
