I really like this song. It reminds me about my relationship with one of my old friends. Him and I had some rough patches and didn't talk for awhile, the first line of this song reminds me of exactly how I felt. When I started talking to him again, I was so glad, I never wanted be apart from him again, I never wanted become a stranger to him again. The idea that a person can both hurt and help you is what I get from the you've taken all my dreams and you gave me hope. One person can hurt you, make you feel bad, but for some reason the same person can be that person you need, that person that supports, motivates, and gives you hope. I think the ending of the song is just that conversation with yourself when you don't know whether you are happier or sadder with that person not in your life. It's hard to be with a person who both hurts you, but also supports you so much. The last line is so beautiful. It creates an opportunity, it's him asking her out to just be. Not to fight or have some deep conversation about their futures, but rather just go out for a beer, talk, have fun, or do something for fun. |

Omgosh, I just heard this song on my Pandora station and fell in love with this song. Some of the lines are just so powerful, I love the feeling she puts into it when she sings it! |

| Stereo Skyline – A Little More Us Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
This is one of those songs that I bought right after I heard the following lines: "A little bit of faith a little bit a trust A little bit of never giving up," I how upbeat the song is, we all need some happiness. I think the song is about how the littlest changes in our lives can make a big difference. =] |

| KT Tunstall – Fade Like A Shadow Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
"You've got a vampire on your neck, Everybody knows what happens next You fade like a shadow, fade like a shadow, fade like a shadow, fade.. Fade like a shadow, fade like a shadow.." These lines make me thing of the whole Twilight Saga book/movie because when Bella meets Edward she totally leaves behind all of her other friends. So "You've got a vampire on your neck" is like this person has met someone and they are starting to fade from everyone else's lives by only focusing on the "vampire." The other person has found someone new, and is therefore fading from the singers life. |

| The Script – The Man Who Can't Be Moved Lyrics | 15 years ago |

It reminds me of how in a romantic type movie the other person will go and follow the one they love but in his case, he doesn't know where she is so he just going to wait. I read a review of this song saying the guy in it was just being stubborn about getting over a girl, but I know that being a girl I make stupid mistakes and that I often change my mind so maybe he just knows the girl a little better than she knows herself. |

| That actually makes sense, strange comparison but true. | |
| Man Overboard – Love Your Friends Die Laughing Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Love this song. My favorite lines are "I feel so stupid because I came here without anything / But I'm finally at ease" because even though its hard to just leave "my heart with my phone in my center console" and "my feelings with my wallet and my keys" the end result will help ease the stresses of everyday life and give you some time to just think or do nothing. |

| Needtobreathe – The Outsiders Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think this song is about a person standing up for his beliefs but then kinda being pushed to the outside, and then meeting some friends along the way and realizing that they aren't alone like when at the end it goes "On the outside your free to roam, on the outside we found their home." " Also, like how people may feel like they are alone in the world and may feel like an outsider there are others like them so it's really like a group of outsiders not just one person. I actually saw a this song put to clips of the movie "The Outsiders" and the tagline for that movie actually is "They grew up on the outside of society. They weren't looking for a fight. They were looking to belong." |

The whole father and son perspective makes more sense to me than a boy and girl relationship. |
