ok i know my names slayer, get over it, you are all wrong. the acutal meaning of this song is nothing, corpsegrinder says this in "metal - a head bangers journy" i will not quote him cause i dont have the time. cannibal corpse write songs that act as short horror films, also this song is about a killer that is discussted(sorry about the spelling) by him self so he Disfiggures himself. but even though it probably wasn't on purpose there are several other meanings to this song, as necromancer_dark said "the meaning is self-hate, and self-harm a great percentage of americans and people around the world suffer of that shit, so this song is great, sometimes i wish to do that, but i have no guts" some times we all do even though we denny it. our mind know what we are capible of and this results in us wanting to change deeply and can end in self pitty and hate. every one here is right even octobersnackbar, yes metal WAS founded by social misfits but i listen to this kind of music and i know alot of people, and the same on the reverse mainstream music is for people who can fit in, so where can the misfits go? also one last thought personaly i find it funny that people come on here and try to start a fight, its just music, its the same with religion(forgive me if i am getting off topic) muslims fight other religions e.g. christans. their "prophet" is jesus where as the muslims is muhammed and they both speak to god/allah(which is their god) and yet they still fight, over what is basicly the same thing.(i am not hating on muslims and christans they are just examples so please dont get offended) music is beautiful it is like an book, they can take you to anywhere and everywhere in 3 minutes. My english teacher says, "a house with many books is a house with many windows". songs dont force you to do anything so there is no need to fight and argue who is the best, as this is like trying to compare Jimi hendrex to corpse grinder, it is personal prefrance. sorry for this being so long and slightly off topic its just my thoughts. please note i'm not trying to offend anyone. |

i think this song is about a solider that does not know why he joined the army (don't know what time period) and doesn't want to fight anymore and is praying to the mother mercy to let him live.
that is my interpretation anyway
