i can really relate to the first verse of this song. almost everything in it is true. my mother recently died from cancer and i've put on a strong attitude around everyone. my friends think that i'm doing fine and i'm already over it but i'm not. i struggle. i wonder why this had to happen. i question god and never feel like i'm getting any answers. while i laugh and smile with my friends, when i'm alone my mind drifts back to my mom and how much it hurts that she isn't here. i cry at night when no one else will notice. this song means a lot to me. |
